Oh Beautiful for smoggy skies, insecticided grain,
For strip-mined mountain's majesty above the asphalt plain.
America, America, man sheds his waste on thee,
And hides the pines with billboard signs, from sea to oily sea.
-George Carlin
Your group will select an environmental topic such as population issues,
global warming, nuclear waste, alternative energy sources, water issues
in SC, agricultural issues in SC,
soil and erosion, water pollution, or geologic hazards. These are
suggestions; you are not limited to these topics. Find 20 or more
sources on the web about this topic and take notes on them. These should
be from reliable sources that appear to have a scientific basis.
There are three options for this project.

and your opinion of the importance of this topic and solutions to problems.
- The URLs for your sources must be included in your paper.
- Photos and graphics can be included but should not count toward the 14 page length.
- This assignment should be turned in by email as a MS Word document.
Please use your group number as part of the filename (e.g. Group2proj.doc).
- PowerPoint Presentation

- The presentation should present an issue, why it is important, and
solutions to problems.

to include them.
- The URLs for your sources must be listed.
- The presentation should be written onto a CD-ROM and turned in with a
label indicating which group created it.

- The site should include photos and/or graphics. Please remember to get permission
to include them.
- The URLs for your sources must be links in your website.
